Default 440 EX Question

Ok im about to be ready to put the engine back together. But the top end gasket kit that i got did not come with the o-ring at the base of the cylinder. I would like to know if the o-ring is just somethig that the factory put there to help seal the sleeve to the cylinder if there was a slight defect. Or if i need to find an o-ring for the base of a 440 sleeve. Any info would help. Thanks Andrew.

P.S. Here are the components i will be running-

Wiseco 89 mm, 11:1 Piston
DynoJet Stage 2 Jet kit
HotCams Stage 2 Cam
FMF Power Core 4 Slip On

Any Suggestions or Comments would be Helpfull

Default 440 EX Question

I don't remember any o-ring on the base of the cylinder. all that I can remember was just the base gasket on the case and and the cyclinder, but I could be wrong. Hope that you put in the larger studs with this. If you blow a head gasket later, you will need to have them put in. The stock head is soft medal and the stock studs with the larger compression will put the studs. Most people think that the head gasket is bad. The higher the compression the more likely that it will happen. Best of luck and you will like the 440 with the extra power. I had to run a 16t sproket because of the extra power.

I don't know anything about the O-ring either way. I just wanted to say I'd go with a full exhaust on that set up (FMF Powerbomb).
