Before you buy it, make sure you take a good look at it. That thing is not set up for race, all it has is an E-Series slip on and stock head pipe. That bike is pretty F-ing beat if you ask me. You may be getting yourself into deep trouble.

 

Im not going to get it, with all the money i would work my asz off to get something NEW i wouldnt feel like i accomplished anything, im going to use that money to fix my z250 up and put some in with my car money, also i couldnt race the 400 in any class here because of my age, so ill just make do with what ive got, for now, lol i think im finally wisin up and stopped with the post crap, hmm wonder what that phase was over anyways??? o well who cares but NO MORE short post, for now

 

Also i dont like the idear of not having reverse on the 400ex which eats away at me like solphyric acid.

I don't think that the plastics are faded! I think he tryed to wetsand them and he didn't go fine enough and the need to be polished. But they could be faded I don't know but the rest of the bike looks fine. Watch the rear axle bearings they can get expensive to replace if they have danaged the carrier or axle. I had that problem with my 300ex.
