Hey guys(or gals[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ) I have an 85 250R and I am wondering what the maximum overbore is on the stock sleeve. I think it's somewhere near .120 but I am not sure. I have it at .020 over now, but I need a new top-end and have a .040 over piston. I don't want to use it if it's going to be too close to the maximum bore size. When I ordred it, I thought I would be safe and get 2 sizes over, but upon closer inspection I think just a hone will get the job done.

 

69.5 mm is what i keep seeing.... after 68mm you will need an oversize head gasket.

max is .140 over

 

i'm almost positive it's .120, i'd check for you out of my dennis kirk catalog, but i have it in my shop at tech so i can order my piston after i bore my LT250R out.

 

Thanks. I'm only at .020 boring to .030(piston that was shipped was wrong one, but it worked out for the best this time!) So I have alot of life left in the sleeve.
