ok a friend of mine is selling his 00 400ex it has Handguards,a-arm skids, chassis skids, swing arm skids, ac racing front bumper, dg alloy nerfs, Razors on douglas beadlocks all the way around. New pads and bearings and a-arm seals. He has raced it all year and will be selling it after the season is over. He wants 4200 for it. I was just wondering if you think it will have problems being that its been raced.

 

Heck I plan to sell my almost stock,(K&N filter, jet kit, swingarm skid plate) but NEVER raced 2000 400EX for around $4,300.00, this winter. It has about 25 hours on it and I'm 43 years old.

 

I'd just check the swing arm out. There's been alot of broken ones turning up. If you keep the rear shock and swingarm stock and race, it's pretty hard on them. Check the brake rotors, and make sure the clutch is still good too. Other than that i wouldn't worry about anything. Usually when a guy races a quad it's maintained. Always have to have the quad in tip-top shape.

 

Yes i know its been well maintained. I also for got it has Renthals Msr clutch lever set up , tether, Different Chain and sprokets and it comes with an extra set of douglas rims and 23-22 razors, douglas rims and 23-22 holeshots, and stock tires and rims

 

WHat if any engine mods are on it? Sounds to me like you need to take it for a test ride. If it performes the way that you want it to then score it, if not just do a little bit more shopping. I just scored a 2001 400 and it is the best bike out!
