what up guys, i went to my dealership today and this was my first time seeing the 450r. this bike is sick. their doing sum trade-in thing at the dealership so im seriously thinking of trading the ol' 400 for the new 450r. whats ur guys ideas? big difference between the two? thanks

 

It would seriously be a good switch from what Ive heard, but to trade in the oldie, how much extra will it be for the 450r?

 

I say you should trade it,if they give you a good deal on your 400ex.You'll definetly like the 450r better.

 

i was thinking of just doing a private sell also. i have shaved fenders in the front and honda wont take it like that, or they at least will take the price off that they will offer for the trade in. i have many mods on my bike and i think i can get more for it with a private sell. no where i can see sum videos of the 450r?

 

The dealership isn't going to give you anything for your 400ex. Dont go that way. Sell it privatly. Also if you have stock parts I would put them on and keep the aftermarket parts. Keep the elkas for sure, and that R4 pipe can easily be modded to fit a 450R. All of the rest of the parts can be sold on ebay for extra money. Good luck.

agree, the only thing i have against the 450r is no electric start but i guess it saves weight

 

yea i really like the 450R, i would take it over a probobly take it over a YFZ. I just like how it looks!

 

The fenders on it reall make it stick out in looks.

 

What about reliablilty? Surely the 450R isn't as reliable as the 400ex or is it?
