BLC,
Rule #1: ALWAYS listen to Gabe
Rule #2: "Faster than" is a very ambiguous phrase. If you want to be faster than a Banshee on tight trails, well you already are. On the motocross track you probably already are. If you are not, a 416 will suffice. The more you mod a 400ex the better or faster it gets EVERYWHERE in ANY CONDITION! This is not true with Banshees. Banshees must be set-up for it's intended purpose. MX, Duner, Drag, Woods [I leave TT + Flat track out for obvious reasons]. My 440 is "faster" in 3 of the 4 situations[this is vs. mildly modded Banshees] and drag bikes are very limited in the conditions that they can be ridden in. Basically, if you want to drag race and have untouchable top speed go get a Banshee. There is only so much power you can get out of your 400 and you'll pay big time for every last pony. In the end I hope you would see however that in "everyday" riding situations 400's can be the perfect weapon.
