What you take on a comparison between the '05 Honda 400EX, the Yamaha Raptor 350 and the Suzuki LT-Z400? Given the '05 400EX now has a reverse gear, important for trail riding, I'm considering purchasing one of these. The new Raptor 350 is a totally revamped Warrior with a MSRP of $4999.00. While the 400EX and the Z400 has a MSRP of $5799.00.

the raptor is still a warrior. dont let yamahs marketing gimicks get to you. yes they fixed the baloon tires and may have tweaked the shocks a bit but it is still a warrior. you dont want any parts of that bike trust me. my friend and i both had them. i rode a 400 ex ONE time and never touched my warrior again. your best bet would be the z400 though out of what you listed. the 450r isnt too too much more money though.
check mine out in my sig. its an awesome machine

The Waptor is not even in the same league as the 400's. I like botht he EX and Z, but the Z is definately quicker. Now that the EX has reverse, just pick the brand you like and go, although the Z has more HP potential.

Z400.... the 400ex and the warrior/raptor 350 are getting out of date and need to be updated and not just by throwing new plastic on the warrior like yamaha did either.

Thanks for your information. It's good to see honest replies in regard to other than Honda atv's on the Honda forum. It seems the Z400 may be the way to go. It will all come down to a test ride soon.

A few of my friends have Z's. If I had to buy another quad..(and I had to pick between EX and Z) I would buy the Z.
