Just from personal preference go with the Honda. Afterall Honda's are the most dependable ATV's out there, and it's 50cc's bigger. Besides Suzuki's suck and you know it. More after market for the Honda's also.

Well, coming from a Z owner....

Get the 450R! I think they come set up much better stock, and a simple pipe, filter, and jetting will fend away most Z400's out there.

But looking at your sig, it seems like you've kinda made up your mind...

I have both and I can tell you the R is way more quad!! My Z is only piped, filtered(lid off) and jetted and it is slower then the R all across the board. The R likes to rev and doesn't like to be lugged down, the Z likes to rev also but can also be lugged down. For trail riding I prefer the Z but for dunes and desert the R is great. Don't get me wrong, the Z is very cabable in the dunes and the desert but the R has the extra power and a better stock suspension, I just wish it had the "magic button" and sometimes reverse. They are both great quads.............

He didn't say where he rides. How can you honestly say what would be better. He might ride in a swamp. I wouldn't take my 450r into a swamp.

Where do you ride,150boy?

ok i have both of these bikes and let me just say that both bikes are great bikes.ok here is were you can make the choice if you want to, race track, race up and down the dunes which is what i do or just go ***** to the wall all the time get the 450.But if you are getting older or you just like to go fast and like to crusie then the z is a great bike and would be better then the 450

What do you mean "if you are getting older" get the Z. I'm 47 and have the 450r. Age has nothing to do with it. Just because I'm "getting older" doesn't mean I don't want to go fast.

If only the 450r had electric start and reverse... O'well. I'd say Z-400.

I was thinking about the same thing. possibly in the future getting something new and bigger. My two choices are the 450r and the z400. I know the z400 has reverse and electric start. The 450r doesnt. But u can make the 450r electric start. but im not tellin how.*wink* As far as not having reverse it would suck for me cause i mostly ride trails. reverse has come in handy lots of times. Maybe honda should axe the 400ex and make a 450x with reverse and electric start. That would be badass.
