Can I adjust my front brakes for this? The brakes don't even actuate until they're half way to the bars and If I pull harder the lever will touch the bars. The front tires never lock up. This can't be normal, can it?

 

No that is not right ...Sounds like you might have a loose brake tit that let some air in.. Or some lose part on the brake line... You got fluid in the brake reservoir? After all that is checked... Time to bleed the ol brakes... You will have to bleed them.

 

Hydraulic disc brakes have no adjustment. Check for contamination of the break disc & pads (lubricant, etc). Bleed the brakes....
