Hey all, ive recently purchased a 2002 400ex and have been looking into exhaust. I found just a tip on E-bay that goes onto the stock muffler and basically does the same thing as a pipe and costs 45 bucks. Im not really worried about power because it has eanough so i just wanna know if i should jet it before slapping that bad boy on. Please let me know what you think...

Allright thanks, I just wanted to make sure that it would be bad for the engine. I know 400ex engines are about the most rock solid 4 stroke out there, but im parnoid because I use to have a Scrambler 400 2-stroke which i blew up because of the wrong main jet (god damn you local parts dealer). Anyway, thanks

I have one of those. It helped the throttle response alot. My bike runs alot better with the White Bros. slip on but the Tip was worth the money. Ohh and They sound way better with that tip than with just the baffle removed. I went up a few main jet sizes with that tip, k&N and no airbox lid. Maybe you could try a 150MJ.
