No, unless the dollar amounts are in US. For 4800 you couldn't get a new 400ex, let alone a 450r from a dealer. With all of 7500 bucks in mods he's going to sell it for half of what he paid for it new?

Either its the deal of the century (very unlikely by definition and the century just started), or its a scam (most probalby). Other possibilities include typos or a different measure of currency.

Take a drive over there and get it.
If you cant see it with your own eyes, and touch it with your own hands....its a scam.

May not be a scam. The guy has a 100% eBay rating, and has a history of selling some high $$$ items. Negotiate with the guy and give $200 after buy-it-now and balance at pick-up. You'll see his other items were bought out of Arizona and he is in Illinois now. Tell us what you do

If this is the auction, then it is a scam. The dead give away is that it is a pre-approved bidder only auction

If that's the one...... I'm in Chicago......Get an address and I will personally go look at it and IF you want, pick it up and store it for you until your have it shipped. I kind of doubt that you'll get an address tho, but worth a try.

Sounds like a scam to me, what DrDoom would do for you is very respectable though. Try it out.
