we've had severely cold weather around here in wisconsin but i keep my honda utility (trx450fe ESP) in the warm garage, but it is about 10 degrees warmer in there but still cold, i just put the choke on and push the button and wait for it to start and let it warm up for about 10 minutes before i give it any rev, because i do not want to risk damage to the motor.

it will list everything in your manuel so look in there how to use the primer.

Unless they changed it, it should be a black **** on the side of the carburator. Just push it in a few times before you try to start it.

I believe the side cover has to be removed to get at the ****. Try not to over use it, more than 2 or 3 pumps can foul a spark plug.

( hopefilly the weather will change there, like it did here. We were double digits below zero yesterday, and today it warmed up to 44 degrees above. HEAT WAVE !! LOL )

In -0 weather, I've had the best luck with 2 slow pushes on the primer, full choke and keep your hand off the throttle. No more primer than that though, unless maybe it's -20 or colder. Other things are important too...like a good fully charged battery, a spare plug, and Winter weight oil.
