i figure this is basically based on the rider but who would win between a 250x and a 250ex.

 

The 250x has a bigger motor, approx same weight, manual clutch, and is chain driven. If it is running right, there is no contest, the 250x will win. I can't really think of any situation that the ex would have an edge.

 

the 250x has the total advantage the motor is biger plus scine the bigger moter is in the lighter quad / atc the atc has the total advantage over the ex. also the ex really just dosnt have the power to compete with the big boys. mainly cause of the small moto in a heavy quad

 

250X, bigger motor, manual clutch, lighter quad, actually a sport quad considering that all the 250ex is is a Recon with sport plastic.

250ex, somewhere around a 229cc same engine as a recon, heavier, auto clutch, not really a true sport quad

250X would hands down eat a 250ex no problem at all, unless the rider sucked

well the recon is geared lower than the 250ex

 

they are the same basic engine though, and it doesn't matter cause the 250X will still kill it.
