300 Conversion

Does anyone know if it is possible to mount a 300ex (oem or custom) head on a 3004x4 motor? I am considering the Thumper Racing 400cc Big Bore and was wondering if that was possible.
Also, was wondering how reliable the Cycle Country Electric Shift is.....
