Default Tracks for quads

Has anyone seen any comparisons about tracks. I am thinking about buying a snowmobile for hunting but I dont now if I want another motor to take care of. I would rather put tracks on and ride my quad when I go hunting in the winter.

Actually, I have seen it, and it looks awesome!

There are actually 4 small triangular tracks mounted where the wheels go. I saw it on a quad on a trailer a town over from me. I have no idea how well it works, but it looks SWEET!

Yah a local deal around where I live sells them and they are pretty much made for utility quads and are kinda pricy but they will go anywhere. Here is one maker of them, even though im sure there are loads more

But for the price of them you can buy a really nice used sled which...i think would be a much better investment

Holy overkill, the price on those. You should buy a second quad, and put skis and paddle tires on.

I don't think that you can physically put a track on an ATV like they have on a sled. The best thing you can do is to put a good radial snow tire on your quad if you want to haul stuff. Most sleds that I've seen do not have any kind of cargo space and they do not pull trailers very well when the snow gets deep and sticky.

If your quad is 4x4 and has good racks, just slap some snow tires on it and I think it will suite your needs. A winch would be a good idea incase you get into some rough spots.

Also invest in a good synthetic tow rope and winch cable. The cold and extreme usage can be hard on a typical(braided steel) winch cable. The synthetic cables do not stretch as much and they even float on water.

I have 27" dirt devils but is what I need is something that can flaot over snow. I saw a picture of a quad with duals maybe thats a cheaper solution.
