This cold be harder than you think, plus take a lot longer. First you need to map out your area, look for natural dips, ditches and such. Decide how long to make it. Then run a regular disc over the area to loosen up the soil. Hard clay, soft sand, rock will determine how hard this is going to be. Rock? you'll need a LOT of dirt, clay? harder to move around, sand or sandy loam, easy to work with. Use surrounding soil to push up jumps, push dirt up to also make jumps (think dip then jump. Big jumps will require a lot more soil than you think. Use to watch the quy work the night track years ago in houston. Disk it up to loosen, then a box blade to form stuff. Great soil, sandy loam that was soft if you fell the early. Berms on flat turns would form after practice up to 12-18" high. It would take him a few hours or so just to groom the before the race. Just grooming. The 6-8 foot berms and double, triple jumps were already in place.
Depending on the jumps and how nice you want to make it, it's a job. And I don't mean just a pile of dirt for a jump, one that the ramp is longer than the bike and won't kick you off when you hit it at speed.
Good Luck with it.
