400ex steering stem
#1
Does anyone know of a good option for the upper bushing. I have to pull the hard green bushing out and grease it alot. I see a bearing can not go on it, but someone has had to made a better option. If you can help, LMK.

i had the exact same problem. take the bushing ojut and clean it, the stem and bushing clamps. then take the outer clamp and drill a hole to tap to 1/4-28 thread in it above the center of the clamp. then drill a hole in the bushing that will line up with that hole (that bushing is hard to drill through so use a drill press and start with a small bit like1/8" then work up to about 1/4 - 5/16"). somehow mark the bushing to the clamp where they line up. install a grease zerk in the clamp, reassemble, grease and you're ready to go. just maintain it like any other greaseable part and notice how smooth and easy it is!
