I got my 400ex last summer and I want get some upgrades to get some more hp. What pipe will give me the more hp? and any other suggestions. Need more power....hahah

these pipes make a deep throaty sound and are pretty loud. good luck...

 

The HMF full system with proper jetting make good power and are also quality built. One of the best for all out HP is the White Brothers "Pro Meg" system, but the quality of the silencers is lacking in my opinion. If I had it to do all over again, I would do an HMF slip on, Hot Cam stage 2, and a higher compression piston. Also, consider a rev box and a different carb (450R carb works VERY well)....................

Powroll has a stroker/ big bore kit. If you want power that will work. It will cost you some money, but power isn't free.

 

Get the 450r carb if you can get one, it makes a world of difference. Go to www.trx450r.org find engine section, then look for the 400EX dyno charts.

 

What about changing the sprockets....mabe i should just go for the 450...What do you think i could get out of my 2004 400ex in great condition?
