i have a chance to buy a '90 trx 300 2wd.....is this a reliable quad, and are there any mods i can add on to it?

 

One of the most reliable ever made! I love mine. There are some pipes made for the 300 but I saw a huge difference just by putting a new set of tires on. Anyway the 300 fourtrax is a legend, you wont be dissapointed, btw whats the price?

I put Dirt Devils on mine, they're sorta clunky and balloonish but they hook up real nice--plus they're cheap

The 300 is probably the most reliable 4 wheeler ever made. Mine is a 94 4x4 with about 7000 miles on it. The only thing I have ever had to do is change oil and a rear shock that I tore apart trying to push too much dirt. I have 25" gators on the back and 24" max trax on the front and it goes pretty much anywhere I need it to.

 

well to answere your question I bought mine in 1989 new and have been riding it ever since , yes sometime I wish I had 4X4 but over all its fast and vewry reliable and excellent trail macnine.

 

i love my trx 300 4x4 and am hoping to buy it off my parents because i've only ever ridden it and a few other bikes, but it reigns over all. I love foot shifters
