Im 6'3 and have been riding 250's on trails for years now. The bike can do it, but it really depends on if you can handle it or not. If you don't have any dirtbike experience then I don't recommend it.

I would say to stay away, it doesn't have enough tires.

It depends on riders skill and difficulty of the trails. If the trails are easy to moderate then the CR250 would be good for anyone with a little experience. If the trails are moderate to intense then the CR250 would be a handfull for the beginner and intermediate rider. An expert whould be hard pressed to find a more suitable bike. Many riders add flywheel weight to make the bike easier to ride in tuff situations. Adding a good silencer/spark arrestor also softens the hit for trails. The suspension usually needs to be revalved to provide a more compliant trail ride. Bigger tank is almost mandatory. Your size is no problem.

i handle my RM250 just fine in trails, i learned on a 250, and when i wanted a bike i got a 250, and a whole lot more.....i go through stuff i never thought i would, and i ride some really rocky bad, tight stuff! i keep it in 1st or 2nd in the real tight woods, powerlines i can get in 3rd(because of room) and im prolly doing almost 60, so i have to back off. but the suspension on this thing is amazing, you simply dont feel bumps!
