What's the best 416 kit for around $200 or so? I can get one with all the stuff for about $200 including a JE 10:8:1 piston. I will need to bore my cylinder though so that's not included in the $200.

What do you mean by a kit? Just a 416 piston with rings and gaskets should run under 150. Boring cost depend on where you get it done at.

I recently put a Ross 10.8 87mm piston in mine. I think it was around 150 shipped from Ross pistons. Excellent quality, man that thing is light. I bought cometic gaskets and put a Hotcams st 2, and a rev box. It really made a difference. I put a 450r carb a few days ago and finally got my jetting right today. I had a Je 416 piston that I sold recently on ebay for like 40$ I think.

What octane do you run with 10:8 compression?

Ive been running Shell supreme, 93? No probs yet. I heard pump gas is safe as long as its 11-1 or lower.
