How to set up a trx450 for a big guy
Who makes a thicker ,softer seat??? And what about lower foot pegs and a taller steering post?? I am 6'3" and 260 lbs. I have a 05 predator right now but if I can get a 450 to be comfortable I would buy one. I can ride all day at the dunes with my predator without wearing out. I ride a friends 450 for a hour and I can't wait to get off of that cramped little thing... Would a 450 struggle with me or should I keep my 500 pred????

donal,
I am about your size and I ride a TRX450R. To be honest I don't have to much of a problem of feeling cramped (Its not as big as my arctic cat 500 but, you can't expect it to be). As far as the R struggling with you on it. NOT a chance! The R has some wicked power and I've never felt it struggle. If you don't feel comfortable on your friends then I wouldn't get one, comfort is important. On mine I installed some AC nerfs and I had to postion my shifter up a few notches but, other than that I haven't done a lot to modify it to fit me. One thing you might want to consider if you get one is a different set of handle bars. that might make you a bit more comfortable.
Just some thoughts I have... if you have some other questions I'll try to help you out.
