im hoping to get a 450R soon. just curious. whats the highest gear i can pull a clutchless wheelie in? like... my 300ex. i can pop a wheelie in 2nd without clutch. but in 3rd gear i can only get it up a little. how about the 450R?

I own a 450r and can get a wheelie up easily in 3rd gear and pretty much ride it forever lol. But im only 15 yrs old, i weigh 130, so if you weigh more you will most likely be able to git r up in 4th.

get it on a paved road and pull on the bars and she'll come up in 5th

yeah shes really a beast, i was crusin' down a road and shifted from 4th to 5th and didnt even mean to wheelie, thing has loads of power.

All gears and you really don't need to use the clutch all you have to do is keep the rpms up and she'll pop up anytime.

wow....never thought a quad could do that. now im really excited to get one.....considering the great step up.....going from a 300ex to a 450R.. i might have to take it easy (if i can without killing myself)


is there any videos of a 450 i could watch to see what its really like? i want to see this wheelie action.

The short swingarm has to do with a lot why the front comes up so easily. Most racers add a +1 to tame the front end.

well i just visited my local honda house, they have 1 2004 450R left. and they are asking $5499. as soon as i seen the price tag my mouth dropped. is it me or is that thing listed very very cheap??? i wonder how much they will take my 300ex for??? for a trade in.

that sounds about right. when I bought my foreman the dealership had a few '04s and they wanted 5599.
