There is lots of great information availible already on this topic.

Foam guys are sure they flow as well or better than cotton guys, and that they filter better.

Cotton guys know they flow better and are sure that they filter as well or better than Foam.

Sorry, I meant cotton. My friends refer to K&N as paper filters even knowing they are not. Brain fart.

But there are paper filters, just not sure if I've seen one for an atv.

Foam filters are the best for flowability, filtration, reusability, and durability. Once you take all those into consideration. For all out performance K&N, but you have to be careful with them you can't afford to accidentally drop them or damage them in anyway, they also seem to not filter as well, and more can go wrong in their cleaning, they also dislike water much more, but you can't beat them for flow. Paper filters arn't even good enough to mention, they flow worse then either of the previous, moistur kills them, and there is no reusing them.

we run k&n filters and outerwear covers on all of our bikes. the foam filters are nice i just like k&n for their name and the rewashable part. i dont think the k&ns are to much up keep either i oil mine like once ever 2-3 months and they do fine. i would say go with k& n any day over an other brand

what do you guys mean when you say that the k&n can be "unsafe". I am sh#ttin@ in my pants because I just sold my rancher es to my hinting buddy and it had a k&n filter on it. WTF should I do? any recomendations?
