i got my new Renthal 250R bend handlebars (for my B-Day) what do you do with that red plastic and ignition switch??? please explain!

You can either make yourself a bracket for the key switch, drill a hole somewhere in your plastic or use a red 250X handlebar cover. This is probably the cleanest if you still want to keep your headlight. If not you can make a bracket somewhere.

 

A friend of mine installed his switch in the side of the headlight plastic.

they don't have it listed but give them a call i'm sure they have them. lol, you better not get the last one! I'm going to need one soon(if my 94 sells i'll have a 99 sitting in my garage!).

The previous owner of my 300ex cut a hole in the plastic and stuck it there, looks bad, and isn't easy to get to. I wouldn't recommend it.

Let me know how you like your 250R bend, i currently have the 400EX bend..

 

just zip tie it to the bars thats what i did no worries here or drill a hole in the fender next to the gas tank
