Hi,
i have been reading about kick up foot pegs, are they worth it? i ride mostly on the beach and in the dunes, i seen a bolt on set somewhwere but cant remember where, i was wondering if any body know's where i can get a pair of bolt on kick ups that bolt straight on to standard foot pegs, as the nerfs i have on my bike have been modified to fit round the foot pegs, i dont want to go and buy expensive kick ups and have to get new nerfs or modify them again,

in my opinion they are a waist a money cause they dont do nothing for you and it dont make you go faster either i say dont buy them

 

I have DG race peg nerfs, with the pegs an integral part of the bars. The pegs are very very wide and the ends kicked up, and Iove them! In a hard turn, you can stick your foot way outboard for a lot more stability. I think IMS, Roll Design, Duncan, all have a wider, kicked up peg.

I don't agree with smooth that they "don't make you go faster", because if you have a better riding position when cornering, of course you can go faster.

 

James Lucky carries a bolt on kick up for about 15 bucks a pair,see if those will work for you.

 

I agree with reconranger all the way. The kick up ends are excellent and add stability to your bike. They are also just a bit more insurance against your feet ever coming off the pegs. I had a set that came on a Banshee I bought used, they were a welcome addition. I have no clue how much they cost, but if you can find a pair for $15.00 like stated above, don't hesitate to buy those puppies.
