whats your opinion on the best trail wheeler out there. personally i like the 300ex and the 400ex

 

those two are nice, but the 450r is nicer or the yfz450 but i'm not sure on their handling i heard they are good racing bikes, the raptor is good in tight areas too. i'm just tellin ya what i know.

 

You did say RACING, so I have to go with the 450R (with some gearing changes).

If you really meant recreational "racing", my choices are the 300EX or 400EX if the trail is real tight, or the Z400 if the trail is more open.

 

im talking like gncc stuff like muddy,rocky long riding

 

My 400ex handels this stuff very well but its not stock, for just plain trail riding I dont think you can beat either of the 400's. I have ridden trails with 450r's and do as well as most until we got to some more wide open areas then I'm at a little disadvantage, but not enough to to justify the difference on cost.

 

What do the pros ride? What do the pros who WIN ride?

 

you cant go buy what the pros ride or which pro wins. some pro are better then other pros. also most of the gncc bikes and other bikes are far from stock, yes, even the yfz and 450r are. like it such a big deal that the 450r and the yfz have rezzy shocks well most (actually all that ive seen) run after market shocks. they also run after market a-arms and axles. if they run a z400 or 400ex they have 440 big bores like doug gust yoshi440 z400. so you cant really go by that at all. in my opinion i like the z400 and 400ex on the trails
