What should i do to get the best quad at the lowest price?Should i buy
a 04 honda 400ex for $4300 (no reverse)
a 05 honda 400ex for $5200(reverse)
a suzuki ltz400 for $5200
or a kawisaki kfx400 for $5400

you could buy the 04 400ex put 800$ of work into it right away, have a very nice machine and still pay less than the z400. either is an equally good choice though.

 

if you plan to race the z400. but for all around riding the 400ex

What year are the KFX and LTZ 400's?

I cant see spending 900 bucks for reverse and a new body when you can get a Z for the same price, espeically if its an 05.

I'd go with the 04 EX if I were you. If you have the cash and they are 05 models, I'd go with the kawisuki.
