I am thinking of getting a new Rancher for work and play and was wondering what kind of fuel milage I can expect from this machine. What kind of range will I have with the 3.4 gal. tank and is this typical for most machines. Thanks

On a recent ride up in the mountains, I rode 70 miles and had just under 1/4 tank left so I would guess you could get appx. 90 miles on a tank. Which would be just over 27 miles per gallon.

At the end of the day, everybody else is dry, and I still have half a tank left! I notice you are from CO. Wouldn't you expect better mileage jetted for high altitudes?

Has anybody counted the actual number of miles and divided that by the exact gallons consumed?

My milage varies from generally flat trail riding of 33 mpg, to the steep Tellico Off Road Park and 27 mpg.

A good average for the Rancher 4x4ES is 25 mpg. Gravel & fire road riding MPG is higher.

60 miles on one tank is the most so far. I have never needed to use reserve.
