Default help deciding exhaust? ids2?

I am going to buy a exhaust for my 04 rancher 350. I want power but sound is kinda an issue. It can be louder than stock just not the 4 stroke rumble when im on the gas that you can hear like a mile away. I am wondering about the isd2 vs. the hmf with quiet core. I will also purchase with a filter and a jet kit. I kinda like the ids2 because you can tune it for power or noise (at least it says you can) with the disks. I think that would be good for me.
if i change the amount of disks, will i also have to rejet?
Also how loud are these compared to stock?

Does anyone have a sound clip? that would be great.
Thanks.

I just recently sold my IDS2. They are not as well built as the HMF. While I didn't, many people have had probs with the IDS2 coming apart (hit or miss I think). The three bolts that hold the discs in are very prone to seizing up, unless you coat them with anti-seize religiously. The IDS2 is louder than stock but not overly loud. The HMF Utility w/quiet core is very loud comparatively. I went with the HMF Eco-System (love it) and it is identical in power to the Supertrapp, but quiet as stock. Supertrapps require repacking but the HMFs do not. HMFs come with a ceramic coating good for about 7 years. You will most likely have to reject with disc selection due to the fact that you are going from lean to rich but if minor you may be able to adjust the fuel mixture screw. Less discs=more torque/bottom end/less noise. More discs-more mid or top/more noise.

what about the megamax 2 from fmf? i heard that you can buy the quiet core for it for normal trail riding but take it out for performance. I dont know if it's any good tho.

I got mine from leeson motors off of ebay (they're also in the back of DirtWheels) and you can get them from HMF directly http://www.hmfengineering.com/. If I was going to do it again, I would get it from them directly because they have excellent tech support and really back their product.
