400 ex questions

alright I need to know whether the 400 ex is liquid cooled or not. My brother is 12 and is going to be getting a 400 ex and i need to know pros and cons of it. We will be moving to yuma and need liquid cooled quads so we can dune year round.

i'd say with him being 12 and all, a 400 would be the way to go, they definetly hold their own at glamis, and theyre bulletproof, and thats good for a 12 year old that probably doesnt want to be taking apart his quad

well, i guess you could get a bigger oil tank to help with cooling, but i think that it would be fine for a 12 year old, plus some of the z's had valve problems, and thats probably not something to be screwing around with if youre no engine pro.

i love the 400ex. i have never had any trouble with mine overheating. they have good power. they are awsome wheelie bikes. they handle real nice for a stock bike. but, in my opinion i think the 400 might be a little to much for a 12 year old. but hey its my opinion!

well he can handle a 400 as far as size but hell also learn to control it better but what im trying to get at is that we will be doing dune rides even in the summer and he needs something that will not burn up even with after market parts. He plans on putting a 416 kit hot cams and andything under300$
