Default 300ex questions

Hello i just got a used 2003 300ex it has renthal bars, FMF Megamax muffler, and otherwise fair shape for about 4,000 out the door was this a good deal? also the end cap on the MegaMax muffler was missing and really loud, if i put the cap on it would it decrease performance? Also alot of parts are held together by twistie ties the guy at the dealer said it makes it easyer to take apart is this true or just a made up excuse? Also i notices on the 400ex the tires are flatter like more vertical and the 300ex's are more round (backones) do they make a difference and can u buy the flatter ones for a 300ex? anything else i need to know?

Default 300ex questions

4,000 bucks damn...and its only got bars and a pipe...man you ripped off bad..my friend just picked up a 02 300ex fair condition as well and it has nerfs, tires, bars, grab bars, and more and he got it for $1800. My other friend got a 400ex for $1700. Also that not to good about the pipe you want that end cap on there cuz your pretty much running it with no packing or nothing..also no you wont lose any power with a end cap...About the zipe ties i have them on my 1984 trike and there not the most safest thing to have what is zipe tied like iwannaride2 said...it sounds like he was BSing you about the whole quad thje whole time ...The tires on 400ex are more boxey you mean..which on the 300ex more rounded..you can always put new rubber on the 300ex to solve that problem...yeah they make the quad less tipsy as well and you can take coners faster they do help if you ride hard and ride tracks a lot...
