it shuts off when u put it into gear or rock it but it will idle all day.

 

Does it die when you hit the gas? If so it probably has a partially plugged main jet.

Make sure you have enough gas in it.

I know it sounds like I am being a wise ***

but I'm not . The little Hondas will idle on fumes

and die when you hit the gas.

Been there done that more times

than I like to admit good luck

 

check your jet and spark plug if that is not it you are SOL
