400EX Denton Stabilizer
#1
I am thinking about ordering one and wondered if they were worth the money? Is there a better brand out there? I see that the Denton model is adjustable (clicker - no bolts) and I think that may be good for me because I ride all types of terrain. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a Denton on my 400EX. It works great, but the installation was a MAJOR NIGHTMARE. It required a lot of hand fitting. I had to file down the edge of the collar that goes around the steering tube, because the shaft of the stabilizer would stride it when the bars are turned all the way over to the left. If I move the collar even a bit lower or higher, it wouldn't work at all! This stabilizer was obviously designed for the 250R and/or Banshee, and they are just trying to cobb together some hardware to make it fit other bikes. I bought one for a Warrior, and didn't even try to install it because the hardware wasn't even close to being right.

dude, i commented on this subject awhile back...yz guy is rite, it is a nightmare to get the denton on, and if you have cans on your shocks, it is nearly imposssible...go with the pep, is cheaper, works better, and easier to install
