I have a 2003 400ex with a pipe and jets on it right now and i will soon have outerwear and k&n. I was wondering if the 450r carb will perform just as good or better with a 440 big bore kit. The kit includes 89mm piston kit, big bore sleeve as well as the head and base gasket. (and probably 450r carb). WHat is the part number on servicehonda.com for the 450r carb, or what page is it on and how much does it cost? Would i be able to get close to a slip on piped raptor with the 440 kit, pipe and 450r carb? Also what cam should i go with, i was thinking about going with the 479 grind, i am pretty sure its web

440 big bore kit (11:1 piston) with a stage two cam, 450r carb, and you got yourself one hell of a runner. Stock piped and jetted raptors will catch hell. Go up one tooth on the front sproket and get a rev box.

No race fuel is needed to run with the 11:1 piston. 89 or 93 octane will due just fine. If you go too www.trx450r.org in the for sale section there is a guy selling a 440 kit with a stage two cam for $250.

what kind of four wheelers do you think i could beat if i added a 440 big bore kit with 11:1 piston, stage 2 cam and a 450r carb? I can run all that with normal gas right?

Yes just pump gas!!!

You should be able to beat a lot of big bore factory quads. If jetted correctly!!
