Hi there guys.... i have found that people here are realy good and know quite a bit of stuff... i am looking at a 1986TRX250R .. motor was dedone 2 years ago. custom paint on it. and new trans bearing Clutch springs chain spockets.....

Now the guy wants like 3000.00 cnd for it i live in canada too. so. are these atv's any good? is there some stuff i should know about??? how are they conpare to the LT250R are they a wast of time? would YOU buy one? just need tons of info on what they are all about! please help thanks are there lots of them out there?? meaning would it be hard to fine parts? on ebay and stuff? thanks again!

Very fast, and handling is like a dream!
Would I buy one?? I already have one! Have also owned a total of four of them! One of my previous 250Rs is now in my friends garage, and the other one is in my ex-girlfriends garage!

Outta all the ATV's you have tryed out Which ones are the best?

 

Depends on the application. My favorites are the TRX250R, and YFZ450, but I ride only in the sand.

 

the 250r sits very low and has by far the best stock handing. the engine is fast and revs high (especially 86, correct me if im wrong) the 86 motor may have a shorter stroke than the rest of the years as well as the toughest frame. mine is an 86. they are also wider. you will not be disapointed with an r. compared to an lt250r: 1st off the aftermarket for the honda is 10 times greater. they are faster stock and handle way better. imo

What ever.... i tryed a LT250 that was a pice of crap.... i dunno about the 500... but i think the 250r would smoke the lt250 n e day of the weekend twice on saturday!!

I LOVE MY LT250R 86....

All you 4 stroke guys can kiss my a$$

 

imo the lt250r may have a slight edge in power stock, but the trx 250r has it in handling,hop up potential,resale,quality,and honda reliability is built in.for the money the lt250 is good , but i love my R !! and mine RIPS!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

yea they were good but they are out of date not with the 4 stokes coming out now
