I just bought a 05 trx 400with auto trans and gps. When I was using electric shift, i was in 3rd, I came to a complete stop and switched from Drive to "N" then switched to automatic trans, went to put shifter in "N" my esp light started flashing and I could feel a shudder in 4 wheeler put it into drive would move no problem but wouldn't shift into next gear (2nd). swtiched back to electric shift it wouldn't allow me to shift out of 1st. Sorry to sound so long winded but just a little concerned. anyone able to help me on this one.

By the way this is my first auto trans on a 4 wheeler.

 

That happened to my AT one time a while back. I turned it off, let it sit for a minute, turned it back on and it was fine. It has never happened since.

WELL YODA I DID THE SAME THING, LET IT SIT FOR 15-20 MINUTES AND THEN IT WAS FINE, MUST BE SOME KIND OF SAFETY OR TRANS??? ANY WAY THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT

MALAHATMAGUIVER, I AM QUITE SURE YOU WILL LIKE THIS ATV WORKS VERY WELL, AT ABOUT 3/4 THROTTLE LAST NIGHT I WAS AT 59-61 KMS, YEEE HAAA.

 

Sounds like scary stuff to me if I was 50 miles away from my truck at 10,000 ft. in the mountains! Helps eliminate the AT from my list.
