My friend has a 350X and is wanting to get some new parts for it or maybe throw the engine into a quad frame. I have an 88 250R rolling chassis without a motor and I was wondering if the motor will fit or not. I have heard that 350X engines are to tall but have not took measurements yet. I did a search and found that most people go with a 250X or 300EX chassis when swapping the motor. Also, I have some spare 400EX parts laying around that he could use. He has no back brake caliper on the 350X which makes it quite exciting to ride. I would like to know what parts we could swap over to the 350X from 250R/250X/300EX/400EX/XR400 parts.

the 350x motor fits in the 250x frame and the 300ex it should fit in the r frame also you might can use the ppe off the 400ex for the 350x and use the bearing carrier and the axle off the 400 if you dont have one ther than that not sure
