im am in process of buying my piston kit but which one should i get the 416 or 426. I aslo called the dealer and they told me that if i take them the whole bike to get bored it would be $330 and if i just take them them the motor it would be $55. Will it be hard to take out the motor or should i go to another place and take them the whole bike and if there is anyone from Houston, Tx I would like to know of a place that i could get the job done for a good price.

I suggest the 416 kit, over the 426. If you go straight to 426, you have to re-sleeve when its worn. If you go to 416, the 426 bore is left.
If you take the egine out, you will probably have to take the cylinder off, to get the $55 bore job. If you don't know how to do that, $330 seems like a good price for the work.

if all u do is bore the motor you wont see much of a difference. u need a pipe carb mods and a cam if u have the money. i would look into a place like thumper-racing.net or trinityracing.com those prices arent bad if that includes reassembly, but its not worth it to just bore the motor. get an 11:1 comp piston. it still runs on pump gas 93 oct+ just fine.
