my sportsman need about $500 worth of work done to it and I dont wanna spend that much cuz I dont have it , so should i sell it and buy this 04 400 ex w/ mods for $2500 ?

 

I would fix it then sell it. You dont get much for a broken quad. Definetly not 2500.

depends on what kinda condition and hours. i think im gettin ripped off but im probably gunna buy an 02 with nerfs for 3,500

 

An '04 with mods for 2500 is an awesome deal. Buy it...

Just looked at your gallery and saw you do a lot of mud riding and trail riding. Just letting you know that the 400 won't do so great in the mud. This is obvious, and you probably already know that, so will you just stop riding mud or do you have a 4x4 you can use? Just wondering what your doing with the situation.

 

Well I love the mud but it has ruined alota stuff on my wheelers so I think iam just gunna find away around it. All my firends have got sport bikes now so I cant keep up to save my life either , they ride DS's , Raptors , Banshees , 400ex's , and YFZ's . I think its just time for a trail/road quad now not a mud hog. The mud has eatin alll my $ up. I plan on riding in the sand pits , legal roads , and trails with it and a little track. Also the owner said the guy hit somthing with this 400ex and he replaced all the broken stuff and either the yoke in the front right tire needs replacing or the A-Arm is for the wrong year quad , either way it will cost about $80 , the frame is not bent either. It has Renthal Bars and Nerf bars.

 

Nice. For 2500 you can't really go wrong unless the guy that owned it never maintaned it and beat it to crap. Theres a 2000 around here w/ a few mods for 3000.

 

Highly, highly, highly recommend a set of 22" RAZR2 tires. You will be amazed at what you can get through in terms of ruts and mud.
