What do you want the next quad to be???

What i want... a 2001 250r... but thats not going to happen. I really am getting sick of 4 strokes , sure they are reliable, better for the environment, and dont require as much work, but jeez, every time i see a 250r or a banshee hit powerband and scream up a hill, it makes me think of what i am missing... The 2 stroke engine is pretty much as primitive as it gets, and parts are a dime a dozen... less parts means its easier to fix, and cheaper. Sure you might have to rebuild a 2 stroke once a year, and do rings even more often (if you want peak performance) but i think getting 12,000 rpms worth it. So where is this all going? Well, lets all compromise, and get honda to build us a 3 stroke, best of both worlds... and thats what we all want, isnt it?

I would trade my 400ex in for a new r if they made it, i would like to put a pipe on and actually feel a difference. I have been reluctant to mod my 400ex and I'm glad, a full exhaust system for $500 bucks for a measly 3-5 hp!!!

My new quad would be a 500cc twin 2 stroke like the banshee but with that Honda quality, reliability and handling. That would be unbeatable oh and using that low polluting technology that they came out with a couple years ago.

Liquid cooling would be nice but to heavy for me. I like the V twin idea mentioned before. I am sure Honda would not have a very hard time tweakin there street V twin motor and slap it in a 400ex frame. But they need to take KTM`s aproach and make the bikes race ready off of the show room floor. YOu know have it come stock will an LRD pipe, beadlocked rims, 6ply hole shoots. Thats not to much to ask now is it?

I want a big-bore 2-stroke (500-550 cc range) with a powervalve, awesome handling, under 350 pounds, fuel injection so I don't have to mess with jetting, and a price tag under 5000, oh yah I also want it race ready, and as soon as pigs fly I'll get one!

Hold on boys Kawasaki is supposed to come out with a KX 250 motor in a quad for 2002. A friend of mine owns a dealership and he said they were talking about it a couple of weeks ago at the Kawasaki dealer meeting. Hopefully it's truth, not a pipe dream.
