Need Helicoil for 2005 300ex

Default Need Helicoil for 2005 300ex

dont put a larger drain plug it will bust the case. trust me i know from experience.take it to a shop or jb weld the bolt in and pump out your oil.

Glad to hear you purchased a torque wrench.
If you plan on keeping the 300, re-tapping would seem to be the
best remedy for your fubar oil change. If you are going to
un-load it say for a street bike or the like...JB or the helicoil
should work fine.

thanks for all the input...i was under the impression that a helicoil was the best way to go...well its on my way to parts store to see what size the drain plug is and buy the right tap set! cant wait fort he torque wrench to come in!

for anyone who might need to know the bolt is a m12 x 1.5
