Recon snorkel
#1
Hey guys
My brother has a '97 recon as well.
He has the T-4 pipe and K&N filter just like myself. He took it to a Honda dealership to have it rejetted. IT now runs great and has a lto of extra uumph. He hasn't done anything to the airbox, but he wanted to cut the end off of the snorkel to improve airflow.
My/his question is after cutting the end of the snorkel off, will he need even bigger jets, even though it is already jetted to accomodate for the new filter/pipe?

I can't say for sure but if he cuts the snorkel, have him put a new plug in and ride it for a bit and then check the plug. If the plug is very dark or black than he is rich. If the plug is very light or grey than he is lean and will need a bigger jet. It shouldn't be any richer than it is now. It should be about the same or a little lean depending on how much he cuts off of the stock snorkel.
Hope this helps.
