Bolting on the a arms is pretty simple, you will also need 400ex tie rods, and a kit or bracket to remount the top shock mounts, 400ex shocks are a lot longer than stock 300ex. You will gain about 50 percent more travel up front, makes bumps and landings from bigger jumps a lot easier, you can trail ride faster because the front end will soak up a lot more rough stuff, and the wider front end will have you handling a lot better. Follow it up with some spacers for the back to widen it up to match the front, and it will rail the corners real nice. I also put a 2001 Raptor shock on the back of my son's 300ex, much better damping, an inch more travel, and it has compression and rebound adjustments. You will need to put a longer hose to the resivoir to get it to a decent place to clamp to out of the way, so it won't get hit by the chain or the swing arm.
