hi im new to the group and also to doing work on my bike i was wondering if anyone had any idea on the what needs to be done to the carb(main jets,needle,etc..)...i just bought a dg stage 2 exhaust...got a k&n filter on it...would like to put the aluminum filter box with no top on it as well.....any ideas on the carb settings i might need for this mods...im in coos bay oregon pretty much sea level...thanks

 

What is the stock main/pilot jet sizing?

 

main jet is 148 slow jet is 38 and needle position is 3rd from the top

 

And you already have the K&N installed?

 

yup already in

 

Coos bay w/ exhaust and open airbox, something around 40 pilot, raise the needle one, and a 165 main. I know the 40 pilot os good, but buy a 160 thru one 170 main. It will use one of those if the lid is gone.
