Default need threading help

Sorry if this is confusing but on my recon the threading on the bottom of the engine where the oil plug bolt goes in is stripped and i mean its just completely smooth, i was told on here by someone to go to a auto shop to ask if they have a Self threading bolt so i went to auto zone and napa, but they act like they never heard of it. Is there such a thing, or what should i do to make the new threads? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Go to napa and ask for an oversize drain plug.I think the stock ones are 14mm,so youll need an oversize 14.They are usually a little long, so thread it in as far as you can and take it out and grind it off,put it bak in and repeat until it tightens down against the engine. Not as hard as it sounds,I did my R this way in about 15 min.

horribble advice

Buy a 15mm tap and put a 15 mm plug in it. an oversize plug may crack the block.

Yeah i went to the dealer today and they told me to get a tap. and the stock bolt is 12mm not 14. But the biggest size the dealer and sears had was like 12mm. So im gonna go to lowes tomarrow to see if they have one. But thanks for the advice guys.
