I'm not too sure about the auto clutch thing, because as far as i know they don't come with an autoclutch. But as to boosting the performance, you could get a pipe, port and polish the head, or even have it milled a little bit, which when all said and done will raise the compression slightly. With all of that done it will move. And you could always upgrade the suspension, and that would give you the advantage in roguher terrain, and in the handling dept. Thats all i can think of right now.

*EDIT- I'm confused are you talking the 86-89 250R?

About all you need to do is what I've done to ours. Add a good filter like a UNI-Filter which lets more air in, bump up the jets in the carb. I went all the way up to a 112, some say a 110 is big enough. Now that you got more air coming in along with more gas you need to let more air out. So get a Performance exhaust like the one I got. I put a White Brother E series on and it sounds great. All this really makes it a little more snappy. It's a blast to ride!

Not really.

Does your friend have the 250ex or 250r?
