Should a person buy extended warrany???
My Brother has bought a Honda 500, 2005 Forman this spring. He was thinking about buy the extended warranty from Honda because its about to run out. I have a 2004 Rubicon and did not buy this warranty and its been fine. He was worried about the recall that came out not to long ago and thought that if that was the case maybe something else is wrong too........I don't think so...what do you think?

Usually its not a good buy.
For one, in stead of first come first serve, for service...you wait, until all paying customers are taken care of, and when they havent got anything else to do, its your turn. Then , between the co pays, and the fine print, and exclusions, and claims of abuse, and so forth...its no garentee the warrentee will be worth much.
Having said that, if your brother is all thumbs, and cant even change oil, or do a valve adjustment, then it might be worth it for him. But hondas are so reliable, that if you get thru the first 6 month warentee, with out a complaint...the odds are it will go for many years, troublefree.
