Try a new plug.
Theres another way, whicj isnt so shocking, to check for spark. Pull the plug out, and reattach it back into the spark plug wire. Hold the body of the plug against the alum motor. Turn the key on, and spin the motor. Look at the spark plug gap, and if its got spark youll see it.
How long has it been since it ran? how old is the gas?

No offence but you hold a plug to see if it’s good? That shock doesn’t mean anything, besides that your a little weird. If the plug is fouled it still gets power just no spark.
