Need help removing a Foreman clutch
#1
I'm in kind of a spot. I've got to replace my cam chain and tensioner on my 96 Foreman 400, and have to take off the centrifugal clutch. I've already got the nut and washer that hold it on off, but according to my Clymer book it takes a special puller from Honda to get it the rest of the way off.
Does anyone know a source for the tool besides Honda ($105 from Ron Ayers is the cheapest I've found it), or know the size of the threads. I know the pitch of the threads is 1.00, but I can't get my calipers far enough in to measure the thread O.D.
Thanks for any help.

I have a four way puller that I bought from my Honda dealer for $26-00 canadian. It has four different threads on it. I tried to send a pic but I don`t know how to do it on this site.

Yes you are correct. When you get to my age you stop thinking right.
I never had a problem tapping off the clutches on the 250 motors. I was assuming the 400 motors were aprox the same. Sorry.
